Ricardo Pinto is a pianist, composer and producer born in Portugal in 1990.
In 2013, Ricardo graduated from ESMAE – Escola Superior de Música, Artes e Espectáculo (Portugal) with a degree in Jazz Piano. He was a student of Abe Rábade (Jazz) and Serghei Covalenco (Classical), among others, and has attended masterclasses with Ben Street, Dan Weiss, Danilo Perez, Rudresh Mahantappa, Jacob Sacks, John Escreet, Ohad Talmor, Pedro Estevan, Robert Lowe, etc.
Since 2005 Ricardo has composed, performed, directed and produced more than thirty soundtracks for theatre, mostly with the Ensemble – Sociedade de Actores, working with Ricardo Pais, Carlos Pimenta, Rogério de Carvalho, Pedro Berdäyes, among others, in the most important venues in the country.
He founded many musical projects for which he composed in different genres and performed in and out of the country, often being also responsible for design, audio and video production and management of those projects, which include Triedro, Pãodemónio, Pinturas Negras, Rei Bruxo, among others.
At present, Ricardo continues developing original repertoire for upcoming releases and live shows with various projects and working regularly as a composer, performer and producer on commissioned musical/audio productions.
